A tiny little place deep in the basement, TaKorea offers large portions, fresh and hot tasty Korean Mexican dishes, and good quality meats. We had Spicy Pork tacos (3 for $80) with Korean seasoning, it came with fries (just regular fries, so not sure how that fits into the fusion concept) and a soft drink for an extra $20. Tasty and filling. The baap bowl ($80) with K Pop chicken (deep fried chicken pieces) was a large bowl of steamed rice with beansprouts, shredded carrots, cucumber and seaweed. It was delicious. And steaming hot. The chicken was juicy, with crispy bits and the sauce was tangy and the perfect balance between sweet and sour. Service was super fast and friendly. Warning: K Pop is blasting over the speakers so if you can stomach that, you won't have much to complain about. Improvements: Only plastic cutlery is provided. Even the staff having their lunch there were using them.

I love visiting my K-Town buddies in LA because they always know where the best and latest K-inspired eateries are. I'm sure everyone knows about Korean BBQ taco trucks and the like but casual Korean food seems to be pretty new in Hong Kong so I was very pleasantly surprised to encounter not one but two casual / fast foodie offerings in SOHO on my last visit to HK. One was Takorea on Wellington. If you don't look for it you may miss it entirely as the street entrance is just a doorway that leads down to the basement. They have a few items on the menu but be sure to try the spicy pork korean tacos. Super yummy! The portions are surprisingly big for Hong Kong (on par with LA) and the price is quite reasonable. The venue is pretty sparse but the staff was quite friendly and service was great. Plus they had Korean beer! Will definitely come back again.

“Portions were just right (and even too much, which is great!)”

Portions were just right (and even too much, which is great!) for the number of people as described. Food was tasty, however could have been much better if it was still warm / hot. Suggest caterer to use a thermal or warming bag to keep food warm for clients.

Korean pork taco was good but no wow factor. Just something new to try for us. The kimchi was ok. No complaints about the service, the staff was so nice.
